Bassikely

Wearing: Bassike stripe tee (via Designer Forum), Bec & Bridge 'Electric Eel' sport shorts (30% off via Maximillia Boutique), Birkenstock 'Arizona' slides (via Mary and Me Boutique), Lack of Color 'Midnight Muse' fedora, PeepToe necklace ($39, purchased from Sydney warehouse sale)

A look I shot last summer, but somehow got lost in my list of posts and subsequently has been living un-published in cyberspace for over half a year.

This outfit highlights all my favourite trends of last summer. Loose-fitting stripe tees, leather shorts, tomboy slides; the versatile, easy-wear pieces that we all own and love. Team with an embellished necklace to add some feminine charm, and throw on a Lack of Color fedora to effortlessly complete the look.

The great thing about all of the elements that make up this outfit is that none of them will ever truly date. Who doesn't remember their parents wearing Birkenstocks when you were younger; or gone a day where you haven't considered one form of stripe shirt or another to be the perfect attire for the day? The key as always is to work each piece into an outfit which suits the look, place or occasion you're dressing for. Great basics such as these are sure to stick by your side for years to come!
