Wearing: Silk Crop by Via22, White 'Lovers' shorts by One Teaspoon, 'The Spencer' fedora by Lack of Color, Canvas Espadrilles by Chanel
Spring is a time to rejoice in the fact that heavy jackets and long pants are no longer necessary, and we can rejoice in the warmth that has finally returned. (As I've stated in previous posts - I'm really not a fan of winter, if that isn't obvious!)
This beautiful silk cami by Melbourne label Via22 is a perfect spring-time piece. The colour and the shape perfectly tie together, and it is a piece that could easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
I'm not a fan of the midriff for daytime wear, so teaming with a pair of high-waisted shorts is a necessity for me. As I've mentioned previously these One Teaspoon 'Lovers' are great, because sizing up or down allows them to be worn either low-slung or high-waisted (alternatively buy a size to be worn low-slung, and pair with a belt to wear high-waisted when you want to!)
The shoe of the season has definitely been the espadrille. I purchased my Chanel pair early last year, and they were a gift to myself for receiving a promotion at work (any excuse will do, right?) However many Australian companies are now also selling their own renditions, for very reasonable prices. If you can't afford to fork out a small fortune for a designer pair, you will definitely be able to find an affordable alternative in just about any shoe store you walk into!
Lack of Color just keep getting better & better. I love the straw woven range, that comes in both a fedora and a boater style; both that have normal and wide-brimmed options. They are a relaxed, beachy alternative to their original felt styles, and can be worn with any outfit to give it an instant laid-back coastal vibe.
