Wearing: Suboo 'Floral Rise' sleeve dress, Windsor Smith 'Mara' heels (on sale, $49.95), 3.1 Phillip Lim croc embossed Pashli (via Belinda)
There is not much that captures my attention like a burst of bright colour in a beautiful print, and this one from Suboo's summer collection is simply stunning. Slightly reminiscent of Preen's SS12 geometric and floral offerings (one of my favourite collections EVER), this delicate pastel print combined with kimono-style shape of the dress instantly transports you to a picturesque Japanese garden, and to me is like a westernised representation of the incredibly feminine and beautiful Japanese culture.
This beautiful collection by Suboo also includes a closed-front dress, which is much more practical for formal occasions (when you don't run the risk of it blowing open). However this stunning piece would be perfect at the beach over swimwear, or as the go-to piece on a tropical vacation. I could see it being a staple in either Thailand or Bali; places where beach to bar dressing is an integral part of the holiday wardrobe and you're always wanting to be comfortable while still looking amazing.
It's simple to accessorise a garment like this by picking a dominant colour from the print and choosing pieces to match. I've chosen black for a sophisticated look, but for something more fun and playful a brighter shade is the perfect option.
