Anenome

Wearing: Dotti pocket tee, Bec & Bridge 'Anenome' wrap skirt (via The Little Boutique), RMK 'Elouise' heels (via Polly Shoes), Samantha Wills for the McGrath Foundation bracelets

Sometimes all you want to do is throw on something super simple, and still look like you put effort into your outfit (so therefore we're talking about more than a pair of ripped jeans and a baggy tee). Although this combo is a favourite of most of us, sometimes you're just looking for something a little more chic; something a little more playful and feminine. And that's where an amazingly printed wrap skirt is your new best friend.

The Anenome Skirt from Bec & Bridge's Chromolux collection was one of my favourite pieces this summer. Perfectly suited to the events of any summer itinerary, this skirt is simplistic and understated enough that it can be dressed down and worn as a casual day piece, while also having stunning details that allow it to be a beautiful statement addition to an evening or party outfit. It consists of a combination of B&B's two major prints from the first drop of their Chromolux collection; the Anenome print and the Ocealaris print; which is featured as a border around the waist, hem, and also the open side of the wrap section.

I love this look for its chic yet simplistic approach to casual dressing. It could just as easily be worn with a pair of white Converse Chucks or white or tan sandals; and each would give it an entirely different feel, without needing to change any of the major elements. That's one of the key things I look for in a winning outfit - flexibility of styling; and the number of possibilities it has! And for that reason this is definitely a killer combo in my eyes.
