With all the various Fashion Weeks currently progressing around the world, I've been feeling inspired to create some of my own dream FW outfits on Polyvore. 

The main thing which I've found to be constant through my favourite street style looks is that they're all dominated by a sophisticated aesthetic.That means classic silhouettes and fabrications; outfits which feature pieces such as below-the-knee skirts in pencil or full-circle silhouettes; strappy, elegant heels and bold yet understated accessories (they don't dominate the look but compliment it perfectly).

This look compiles some of these elements in a stunning outfit, which would fit perfectly in the Fashion Week street style scene.The sleeveless tank by Acne adds just the right amount of street cool to the look, complimenting the otherwise very sophisticated styling and giving it an injection of boyish confidence.

The collaboration between Alex and Billabong has given her the perfect outlet to share her distinctive personal style with the masses; something we should all feel so lucky about!

With the warmer months now upon us, I've found myself creating spring-time casual Polyvore sets that would be perfect for lunch dates, beach visits, shopping trips...the things we do more of when the weather is at its finest! This look has a super casual feel, dominated by navy and white shades that give a very coastal vibe. Shooting all my recent outfit posts at Balmoral Beach in Sydney's northern harbour district, I could imagine any of the amazing women from the area wearing this to a catch up with girlfriends at the Balmoral Boatshed. The classic colour palette gives a classic feel, but the silhouettes keep the look light and casual.

With the amazing pre-summer weather we've been lucky enough to have lately in Sydney, I thought it was only appropriate to do a summer-inspired Polyvore set! I will always prefer colour over monochrome, and the warmer months make it so much easier to dress in brighter shades. This outfit features many of my favourites - Josh Goot for obvious starters, then a vibrant tropical print, and Valentino Rockstud heels! I have jumped on the lust-bandwagon here and am desperate for a pair of my own. I love this pastel pink shade, way more summer-appropriate than black and a great substitute for basic nude. A bold clutch will never go astray - this one from Proenza Schouler is so amazing! Way outside of my price-range (kind of like the shoes really) but it never hurt a girl to dream! X

How to Wear - The White Jean #1: Nautical

The next three outfit posts are going to offer variations with one constant - the white skinny jean. A good-quality pair of white jeans are a super staple for the spring & summer months. They make any outfit look fresh and are great for in-between weather where its not quite warm enough for something shorter, and add instant class to any outfit.

Femme Sports Luxe

Continuing with my current monochrome obsession, I have gone for a different angle and put together this look with soft-toned neutral pieces. The focus was to centre a look around the incredible 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Pashli' satchel in this amazing two-toned colourway, which has quickly become one of my favourite bags. Instead of following the norm and creating a classic, sophisticated look I have decided to go for something totally different, and have put together an outfit with sports-luxe street appeal, that any fashion-savvy twenty-something would lust to have in her wardrobe. Once again I've left myself wishing I had an endless supply of cash! X

This Polyvore set was pretty much an excuse for me to imagine I owned these AMAZIINNGG Isabel Marant sandals, and play with how I would style them if I ever was so lucky. I imagine this set to be the perfect Coachella outfit; practical enough to get you through the day but stylish enough to get you noticed (for the right reasons!)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Marant will bring out a new version of these incredible shoes in next summer's collection, and until then I will anxiously save my pennies and keep my fingers crossed that I will own them soon enough x

Billini Shoes Spring / Summer 13 Campaign Shoot

Last week I was fortunate enough to spend a day with the lovely Billini team on the amazing set of their SS13 campaign shoot. Titled 'Hola Mexico', the collection captures the passion and vibrancy of Mexican culture, and offers a style perfect for every occasion you're likely to face in the warmer months ahead.

Hola Mexico provides a chic and effortless assortment of styles, from beautiful embellished flats to suede wedges and elegant, street-ready heels. With a colour palette including vibrant shades of burnt orange, citrus and turquoise, along with tan, gold, white and other neutrals, there is not only a style but also a colour to suit every possibly event, and leave you feeling as though you've just returned from a thrilling Mexican vacation.

Worthy of special note in the collection is the inclusion of Billini's first leather shoe, the 'Lorna'. This gorgeous shoe sports a wooden clog-style sole, with leather ankle strap and lattice detailing across the toes. Definitely one to look out for, and a style I will be sure to be sporting when summer comes around!

Two very different collections from the Resort 14 season, which stole my heart for entirely different reasons.

BARBARA BUI

Barbara Bui is a designer I regret to admit I hadn't heard of before this season, but I was totally blown away by her resort collection. Stepping away from the traditional resort expectations, Bui has presented a bold and clean-cut range centralised around tailored & structured pieces and an incredible vibrant tropical bird graphic. 

I've always been a fan of classic sophistication and this collection provides that, with the added elements of edgy silhouettes and masculine fabric choices in leather and denim. The colour palatte is predominantly monochrome, allowing the garment styles to be the heroes.

Monochrome - perfect for every season! Right now I am obsessed with leather pants and wool felt fedora hats, which pair together so perfectly with the other pieces in this outfit and create an amazing casual winter look. X
